State Fair of Texas Corn Dogs

Howdy Y'all!!

In the spirit of both the newest chapter in my life (work & boyfriend) as well as the State Fair of Texas beginning this week, I figured it was time to update with a classic recipe. I can obviously NOT take credit for this one...but if you want the real deal head out to Fair Park and try it for yourself.

Chicken Cordon Bleu Plate Special

So I watched Rachael Ray the other day and of course got inspired by some dishes she was making. She took the elements of Chicken Cordon Bleu and incorporated them into various parts of the meal. Here is what I did:

• Chicken Breast butterflied and breaded with bread crumbs and chives and seared golden brown
• Macaroni & Cheese with Gruyere and sharp White Cheddar with bits of Virginia Ham (recipe page below)
• Steamed broccoli seasoned with lemon pepper
